Meet Robbie.

Robbie Kruithoff is a multi-award-winning filmmaker, artist, and storyteller whose work lives at the intersection of culture, identity, and human connection. As the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Wrong Turn Productions, Robbie develops films and creative projects designed to challenge convention, spark conversation, and resonate far beyond the screen. Blending creative vision with an entrepreneurial mindset, he plays an active role in shaping both the artistic and business direction of the company, leading financing, partnerships, fundraising, and long-term growth strategy across its slate of projects.

At the center of Robbie’s work is a passion for emotionally driven storytelling that explores faith, belonging, resilience, sexuality, and cultural tension. His projects span narrative feature film, documentary, and cross-platform creative campaigns, often focusing on stories that feel deeply personal while tapping into larger cultural conversations. His path from homelessness and addiction to building a rapidly growing production company remains central to both his perspective and purpose. Whether collaborating with award-winning talent, advocacy organizations, or global brand partners, Robbie approaches storytelling as a way to create connection, challenge perspectives, and build community through shared human experience.

Robbie often draws from his own lived experiences navigating identity, faith, and belonging. Raised in a deeply religious environment, his personal journey has heavily influenced both his creative work and advocacy efforts. Through collaborations with nonprofits and community organizations around the world, he is passionate about using storytelling as a tool for empathy, dialogue, and cultural impact.

Before entering the film industry, Robbie built his career in hospitality, fundraising, nonprofit leadership, and operations, experiences that continue to shape his audience-first approach to entertainment and business. Alongside an expanding film slate, Robbie is currently developing long-form written projects exploring faith, survival, sexuality, and the complicated process of rebuilding a life on your own terms.
